Description

A shallow dish above foot rim curving to steelpy rising sides. The dish is decorated with a number of bats in iron red. The white glazed base bears an overglaze iron red Tongzhi mark and of the period.

The patternis also seen on a yellow ground narcciss bowl with Tongzhi mark can be found in book The Dragons Treasure.

A pair of Tongzhi mark and period bowls of the same pattern were sold at Sotheby's Hong Kong Dec. 2016
